Chaos, flames, cosmos, contemplation, wonder. Já pertenci a tanta coisa para tentar pertencer a mim, the first poetry book by Mariana Almeida Nogueira, is the search for beauty and harmony, latent in all dimensions of life that make us more human.
Já pertenci a tanta coisa para tentar pertencer a mim (2.ª Edição)
Graduated in Communication Design from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon (FBAUL) and with a Master's degree in Journalism from the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences of the Nova University of Lisbon (FCSH), Mariana Almeida Nogueira has been a journalist for VISÃO magazine since 2019, where she writes about health, technology, science, and culture.
In 2021, she won the journalism award from the Portuguese League Against Cancer, and in 2022, the Journalism Award in Psychiatry and Mental Health from the Portuguese Society of Psychiatry.
She also writes for the cultural section of Brotéria magazine, Jornal de Letras, and Revista PRIMA, covering topics related to art, culture, and philosophy. Driven by the desire to tell stories, she believes that journalism is much more than writing news: it is about listening to people and giving a voice to those who do not have one.
Her reflection on the delicate harmony of life, however, is mainly expressed in the form of poems, most of which were written over the past six years and are now published in this book.
