It is impossible to count the number of awards and distinctions that Portugal has received in recent years. The city of Lisbon is no exception and this can be seen practically every day in the busy streets of the historic centre. But more than just monuments, typical neighbourhoods and excellent food, in or close to the capital good wine is produced and drunk.
The wine from Lisbon intends to take the readers to the wine-producing estates dedicated to wine tourism in the region of Lisbon but also to Lisbon’s wine bars where wine is served by the glass to be enjoyed with traditional snacks and appetisers. There is a total of 16 wine producing estates, 26 wine bars and also 10 wine cellars. There are over 50 locations that were visited by the journalist and author and two photographers that accompanied her.
